A journey of discovery with Scarborough Museums Trust
On 1 January 2008 Scarborough Museums Trust assumed responsibility for running Scarborough’s museum and gallery service; this is going to be an exciting year for us all!
Scarborough Museums Trust brings you closer to the objects and paintings that you love, closer to your heritage. We want you to discover things you didn’t know, learn more about Scarborough and the world around us, and join in with our activities, either in the Rotunda, or in the Art Gallery, or out on the Dinosaur Coast. Above all, a Scarborough Museums Trust experience is an enjoyable one.
The most exciting event of this Spring will be the reopening of the Rotunda, the William Smith Museum of Geology. The museum is an intrinsic part of Scarborough’s rich and varied history, and I would like to thank all of you who have supported us during the redevelopment and fund-raising. I hope you will be as thrilled with it as we are and that you will join us for a day of community celebration on Saturday 10 May 2008 when the museum reopens to the public.
If you’d like to receive regular information about what we’re doing, please get your details onto our mailing list. We won’t share them with anyone else, we’ll just use them to tell you the things you want to know.
You are at the centre of what we do and we look forward to welcoming you to our events and activities.
