Events and activities for everyone!
Scarborough Museums Trust places learning at the heart of its operation and in recognition of this we have removed any admission charges for visitors under the age of 18. In addition any teachers accompanying a pre-booked school group will receive free entry.
The collections and exhibitions at SMT are the starting points for a wide range of talks, activities and events for adults and children of all ages and new programmes will be developed from autumn 2008.
In the meantime why not join us at one of Scarborough Art Gallery’s fun family workshops in the school holidays or take advantage of the children’s art books, art materials, activity sheets and dressing-up clothes in the Resource Room? Or come along to one of the Gallery’s monthly lunchtime talks to learn more about the artwork on show and meet artists, museum and gallery staff and other specialists.
Over the school summer holiday the Dinosaur Coast Events Programme invites adults and children to explore, enjoy and learn about the amazing geology of the region by taking part in family fun days, fossil hunts and evening strolls at venues throughout
Discounts are available on any pre-booked group bookings of 10 or more people. We do ask that if your party consists of more than 10 people that you do pre-book to ensure we can accommodate you - there are limits on the number of people allowed in the building at any one time. All school groups must be accompanied by the appropriate number of adults.
If you wish to book a school group visit please contact: The Rotunda Museum on: 01723 353665 Or Scarborough Art Gallery on: 01723 374753
